1. Are you a certified Plastic Surgeon?
In the world of paid ads on Google, Facebook, Instagram, many unqualified doctors are claiming to be expert in liposuction. It is important to understand that liposuction is not just a fat sucking out procedure. A certified plastic surgeon who has done a cosmetic surgery fellowship will not hesitate to show his credentials if asked by a patient.
2. How many Liposuction have you done?
This question might seem odd to ask but your plastic surgeon should be confident and swift in reply when it comes to this question. Many times a counter can be seen on websites that might show ever increase the number of patients that they have operated. It might feel like a National Population registry but beware numbers can be misleading.
3. Can you show me photos of some before and after liposuction?
The best way to assess your surgeon is to see his work. Before and after photos will not only give you an idea about your surgeon’s caliber but can provide an interesting insight into what you should expect and what is or is not possible. There might be times when due to confidentiality the pictures might not be displayed on the website or social media but the plastic surgeon is happy to show them in your physical or virtual consultation.
4. How many days leave should I take after Liposuction?
The answer to this question depends on your profession and the extensiveness of the procedure. In COVID times when most of the people are working from home, recovery is faster as there is no socializing plus there are people around you to augment post-surgery recovery.
Generally, you should good rest for two days and then resume work from the third day. Light work can be resumed after a week while heavy work should be resumed after a month.
5. Where will be my liposuction done?
This is one of the most important things to ask. Low price quotes might mean lower quality services. Before giving it any quotation a plastic surgeon includes hospital charges too. Liposuction is a procedure that requires skills along with good hospital setup and post-operative facilities.

There are some centers that provide EMI options too for liposuction. the Lower-cost might not mean the best treatment!
